Penny Black Guest Designer Day 1

See the trick to making this card on the Penny Black Blog! Supplies are also listed there if you wanted to know what I used!

Your Friendship

UPDATE: After great debate, I decided to paint the front door dark brown, the same as the trim...neutral and versatile. Better for selling and cheaper overall. I hope the next house has a pretty door like this one...

  2. Stunning card, Wida - I'm off to the PB site for details! That door - gorgeous - but I'm sure yours is pretty as well. Our door is ewwww...that's what happens living in a townhouse where 'all doors must be the same' (boring white, flat...) is the rule. Perhaps, one of these days, we'll have a house with a pretty door (and a craft room alllll my own). Dreaming, dreaming...

  6. I am able to comment after the several minutes of CPR! (It really worked out fine considering how adorable that fireman was, but that's another story.) Wida. Wow. Really, there are no words. This is number one in my Top Ten Cards for 2014!! I am heading over to PB to see the secret. In the meantime, I see canvas in your future and a gallery downtown of all your wonderful watercolor art!! Hugs, Darnell

  7. Beautiful :)

Fabulous front door. I painted mine green last year....I was very nervous but it turned out really well, and completely transformed my entry way!

  8. Your card really caught my eye with the way the narrow multicoloured mat is predominantly pink at the bottom opposing the pink of the flower heads with the green hues at the top opposing the greenish hues of the flower’s stems. The use of the two differently coloured strands of twine also picks up on the black of the sentiment & the pink of the flower heads.
